Skavsta stad — an area under development
Arlandastad Group owns and operates two of Sweden's largest development areas. In Skavsta, the state and municipality are investing billions in new infrastructure.
Skavsta is a 4.84 million square meter strategically located destination — a place for companies and actors with a view to growth and development. Here, cooperation, sustainability and a long-term perspective are at the center. The development is taking place in stages in close dialogue with Nyköping Municipality, which is already establishing important businesses in the area.
Aviation, road, rail and shipping meet in Skavsta
With its unique location south of Stockholm, where aviation, road, rail and shipping meet, the conditions are created for thousands of new jobs, increased commuting and future housing. The Sörmland landscape provides an attractive setting. The development is taking place in collaboration with Nyköping Municipality, which is already establishing long-term operations in the area.

Millions of square meters of opportunities and space for 10,000 jobs
The area is strategically located on the Mälardalen coastline. With proximity to Stockholm, E4 highway, the Baltic Sea's deepest port in Oxelösund, Stockholm Skavsta Airport and the Ostlänken railway, the whole world is within reach. National and international flows meet here, creating unique opportunities for establishment. When the area is fully developed, it is expected to provide space for 10,000 jobs.
Ostlänken provides faster travel and increased accessibility
The new double-track railway, the Eastern Link, runs through Skavsta, a major investment that will greatly improve communications throughout the region, resulting in shorter travel times. The Skavsta Travel Center is being built directly next to the airport — a hub for trains, buses and aviation. The entire Eastern Link route will open to traffic in 2035. The Travel Center at Skavsta is planned to be ready as early as 2032. The railway strengthens Skavsta's role as both a regional and national hub.

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is the heart of a growing region
Stockholm Skavsta Airport is the heart of Skavsta and plays a crucial role in the region's business, tourism and development. With a catchment area of around three million people within a radius of 100 kilometres, the airport is a strong hub for both national and international traffic. The airport's central role as a communication point strengthens Skavsta's position as a natural place for establishment and growth.
Skavsta stad is part of the Arlandastad Group
Skavsta stad is jointly owned by the Arlandastad Group (90.1%) and the Municipality of Nyköping (9.9%). The area was acquired in 2022 and is 13 times the size of the Old Town in Stockholm.
